This well balanced formula is easy to strike and hard to mess up.  A silver rich color in a clear base, capable of producing blue and green fume effects and soft transparent pinks and purples.

Double Helix Clio

!

Reducerend & Strikend

Clio, based on test batches CL-360 and CL-361, is our first color-shifting, reducing and striking glass. The colors will shift in different light sources.  Once struck or reduced that color shift is altered. Thus, many color outcomes are possible with this unique color chemistry.

Double Helix Ekho

!

Reducing & Striking

Beads made by Anouk Jasperse

Ekho was designed to offer features of both reduction and striking colors.  Ekho can retain a pearlescent luster under encasement, while striking during normal beadmaking operations.

For best results, Work Hot, Cool, Reduce, and Encase.  Melting the clear encasement using a cool flame will encourage a "mother of pearl" luster, while reheating the encased Ekho will further develop the struck tones.

Double Helix Kalypso

!

Reducerend & Strikend

Kalypso is an opaque version of Clio. If Clio is like strawberry wine then Kalypso is like raspberries and cream with the shimmer of the summer sun. She reduces, strikes, and maintains her shimmer under an encasing layer.

Double Helix Khaos

!
Striking

Khaos is a super saturated silver opal. To strike, work hot, cool and reheat.

Double Helix Kronos 2

!

Reducing

Beads made by Anouk Jasperse

An enhanced formula of Kronos that is stronger, cleaner, and easier to strike. When worked in a slightly reducing flame this color develops swirls of blue, green, cream and a rainbow iridesence. Briefly reheating in a oxygen rich flame can enhance struck color. This glass is a deep cobalt blue.
